Money to
buy food, water, and medicine is the greatest need.
Currently 150+ people,
mostly children, are depending on us for a daily meal (or two!).
With your support we can provide this basic necessity.
A typical breakfast is cornmeal or spaghetti with tuna fish.
Dinner is usually rice and beans with salami or fish sauce.
Milk and juice are
special treats.
Prices fluctuate in Haiti
and are high right now. Average costs:
50 lbs. rice = $65
50 lbs. beans = $75
50 lbs. cornmeal = $60
1 case spaghetti = $40 Large
bag of charcoal = $15
1 case canned milk = $25
1 case Vit.C juice = $25
1 case bottled
water = $5
5-gallon jug purified water = $1
- we use 15 gallons/day at the Children's
Home for drinking, cooking, washing dishes

us resettle
earthquake victims and rebuild their lives: |

room in a house is $400/year in rent; bed purchased for
$200. An additional $500 is enough to start a business
selling goods at the market and become self-sustainable. |

FUNDRAISING SUGGESTION: One idea that has worked well
in the past to raise money is a "Penny Drive". Gathering
loose change can really add up! and can be converted easily
to a money order. |
