MacIntosh
- 2nd grade, primary school. We met MacIntosh in June 2005 at
an orphanage. In Sept. we found MacIntosh with his mother in
a fishing village, and we enrolled him in school. They were
thrilled. He does not have a bed. His father is dead and his
mom asked if we would adopt him. |

Mary Claude
- we met this sweet woman in the summer of 2005 living in a
tiny hut in Montrouis. She was very ill with a skin rash and
stomach problems. We helped pay for a doctor visit and medication.
When we returned in
Sept. she was a little better but more concerned to ask if
we could pay for her son to go to school. The father is dead
and she has no money. She came searching for us in the rain,
mud, and dark. We couldn't say no to such a sincere and desperate
situation. We gave her $125 for tuition, uniform, and supplies.
Patrickson started kindergarten the following week.
