MacIntosh - 2nd grade, primary school. We met MacIntosh in June 2005 at an orphanage. In Sept. we found MacIntosh with his mother in a fishing village, and we enrolled him in school. They were thrilled. He does not have a bed. His father is dead and his mom asked if we would adopt him.
Kedneau - last year of primary school (in Montrouis). Tuition, a uniform, shoes, and books cost $150 for fall 2005 semester. He will need another $75 for spring 2006 tuition. Next year he hopes to attend secondary school in Port-Au-Prince.
Robertson - third year, secondary school in Port-Au-Prince. Secondary school is very expensive -- $200 a semester. Robertson is extremely polite and thankful for the opportunity.
Mericiennes - second year of a 3-year sewing and cooking school in Montrouis. Supplies and tuition cost $100 in the fall of 2005. She will need $50 for spring 2006 tuition.
Mary Claude - we met this sweet woman in the summer of 2005 living in a tiny hut in Montrouis. She was very ill with a skin rash and stomach problems. We helped pay for a doctor visit and medication.

When we returned in Sept. she was a little better but more concerned to ask if we could pay for her son to go to school. The father is dead and she has no money. She came searching for us in the rain, mud, and dark. We couldn't say no to such a sincere and desperate situation. We gave her $125 for tuition, uniform, and supplies. Patrickson started kindergarten the following week.

Kids who need school sponsors:
Noe - this boy lives in Montrouis with his mom but has no money for school. Estania and Wilner - these are Ester's kids (chief at 87th Place). Father is dead. They need $125 each for primary school. These two kids live in Goyavier and only need a uniform to go to school. $25-$50 should be plenty to buy the fabric and have someone sew a uniform.
